Justice League Unlimited #1 marks the beginning of a bold new era for DC’s flagship team, written by Mark Waid with art by Dan Mora. Following the events of Absolute Power and DC All In, the League reforms in response to a massive power vacuum left by Darkseid’s death, expanding its roster to include nearly every hero championing the forces of good.
The issue opens with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman leading a global initiative to rebuild the Justice League—not just as a team, but as a unified force of metahuman protection. Heroes from across the DCU join the cause, including Black Lightning, Star Sapphire, Blue Beetle, Firestorm, Kid Flash, Red Tornado, and many more.
Meanwhile, Ray Palmer’s Atom Project triggers a race between heroes and villains to control the fate of metahuman abilities. A mysterious terrorist group called Inferno emerges, threatening to destabilize Earth with advanced tech and no clear motive beyond destruction. The League must act fast, but internal tensions and overlapping agendas complicate their response.
