In the present timeline, Diana is navigating a dystopian world ruled by Mouse Man, a fascist influencer whose regime has stripped citizens of free speech. Survivors can only utter phrases like “Mouse Man knows” and “mice have ears”. Diana encounters a resistance group—women who call themselves “cats who hate mice”—and joins them in the sewers to evade Mouse Man’s forces.
During an ambush by a giant mouse, Diana is dragged underwater. Only baby Elizabeth (Lizzie) resurfaces, but Wonder Woman soon emerges victorious, reaffirming her mythic resilience.
