The attacks begin with a massive explosion at a Windler Industries factory and quickly escalate as the company’s employees spontaneously combust. But finding the malignant force responsible for the otherworldly arsons may not be as simple as a standard monster hunt—especially when the suspiciously composed CEO, Steff Windler, begins to get personally involved.
Greg Pak and Eder Messias nail the dynamic banter and core emotional complexity of the early series, delivering a classic "case-of-the-week" that feels ripped right from the first season. Messias’s atmospheric art perfectly captures the grit and brooding horror of the Winchester’s world, with fire and shadowy menace tying the current threat to the traumatic past. The issue promises a rewarding return to a simpler, more intimate form of evil before the universe expanded into the apocalyptic war we came to know.
