Opening with a flashback to 1951, Hawkman testifies before the House Un-American Activities Committee, betraying fellow heroes he deems “subversive.” In the present, Green Arrow trains in his “Arrow Cave,” preparing to take down a corrupt billionaire, while Hammond receives orders to neutralize him. The heart of the issue unfolds in a tense villain roundtable, where Joker hijacks the conversation with chilling clarity, reframing the Absolute Universe’s moral compass.
Told partly through Veronica Cale’s screen presentation, the issue recaps the rise and fall of heroes across the Absolute line, connecting threads from Absolute Superman, Absolute Batman, and the Dawn of DC Primer. It ends on a cliffhanger that sets the stage for 2026’s major crossover event.
